To strengthen our team in southern Greenland, THYSSEN SCHACHTBAU Mining Services Greenland is looking for a qualified person to start as soon as possible as

PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT

Your tasks:

Under the supervision of the Project Manager, the primary role of the Project Superintendent is to achieve planned productivities whilst maintaining health, safety, environmental and operating standards.

• Target zero harm in your crew through implementing all requirements of the Safety Health Management System, and active promotion of safety and risk reduction initiatives through personal leadership of lead safety indicators.
• Work with your supervisors to engage all employees to perform at their level of skill and capability.
• Liaise with the Client and other Contract partners on all issues of interaction between Client and Contractor work operations.
• Be responsible for the execution of the mining plan.
• Assess the training needs of the production team against the skills required.

  Requirements:

   

• Proven track record in implementing and monitoring safety standards at a mine site.
• Experience in leading continuous roster multi-shift teams is essential.
• Leadership skills including the ability to manage, influence, motivate, mediate, negotiate, improve performance, satisfaction and skill level of all stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills including verbal, written and interpersonal.
• Prioritization and organizational skills. Ability to meet deadlines and delegate effectively.
• Follow Company and Client health and safety standards.
• Work in accordance with local legislation
