Processing Operations Manager

        

Contract: 12 months (potential for full time contract)

Start Date: Immediately 

Location: Greenland

Available positions: 2-3


The Environment

·       Operations Manager at White Mountain (Qaqortorsuaq) Project during production

·       Project site is located in the Sondrestrom Fjord in western Greenland

·       Facility processes 1,000 metric tonnes of anorthosite per day 

·       Approximately 25 people on site at any time

·       Schedule involves fly-in/fly-out rotations

 

The Candidate

·       5-10 years of work experience in mining or mineral processing operations

·       Extensive knowledge of improving and trouble-shooting multiple stages of dry mineral crushing and screening

·       Knowledge of material handling including bucket elevators, enclosed conveyors, high intensity magnetic separators and crushers

·       Must be adaptable to northern climate, able and willing to work with people of different countries/cultures/languages. Main working languages are English and Danish.

 

The Responsibilities

·       Maximize and optimize operation and quality of processing facility

·       Direct loading of product into bulk ship carriers destined for international ocean freight  

·       Effective daily reporting incorporating HSE, production, QC, maintenance, etc.

·       Communicating directly with upper management 

 

The Company


Hudson Resources Inc. Our refined products will bring significant green benefits and cost savings to our customers. The White Mountain mine will have multiple revenue streams as our products have applications in the fiberglass, alumina, filler, paint and white cement markets.

 

Our mine adheres to the strictest environmental standards and does not use any chemicals or water for processing.  The mine is permitted for 50 years and has a current mine life of over 100 years with the deposit being open in all directions.

 

Commissioning is underway, and the mine will be in production in the fourth quarter of 2018. Hudson has a 10-year supply agreement with one of the world leaders in E-Glass fiberglass production.
