A. MEANINGFUL TRAVELS GREENLAND

1. Job Title: Tour Coordinator (Part-time)
Reports to: Tour Operations Manager

Overview:
The Tour Coordinator at Meaningful Travels Greenland is essential in managing the logistics behind every tour. This role involves coordinating tour schedules, managing guest bookings, and working closely with local partners to ensure an enjoyable and smooth experience for all visitors. With peak activity during the cruise season, the Tour Coordinator is responsible for handling last-minute changes, ensuring all supplies are ready, and making sure each tour follows the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule Management: Organize and update tour schedules, accommodating guest needs and optimizing logistics.
  • Vendor Relations: Coordinate with local vendors, transport services, and cultural sites to ensure tour readiness.
  • Guest Communication: Respond to inquiries, send pre-tour information, and ensure guests have a positive first impression.
  • Operational Oversight: Work on-site when necessary to address any issues and support the tour guides.
  • Feedback and Reporting: Gather guest feedback post-tour and report insights for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Preferably in tourism, hospitality, or event coordination.

The Tour Guide serves as the face of Meaningful Travels Greenland, guiding visitors through Greenland’s landscapes, culture, and heritage. In this role, you’ll engage guests by sharing stories, answering questions, and ensuring their safety throughout the journey. The Tour Guide must be comfortable with Greenland’s varying weather conditions and adept at adjusting to the needs of diverse groups. This is a dynamic, on-your-feet role, especially active during the cruise season.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guiding Tours: Lead groups on cultural, historical, and natural tours, providing detailed and engaging information.
  • Guest Interaction: Foster a welcoming environment, engage with guests, and respond to their questions and feedback.
  • Safety and Comfort: Prioritize guest safety by providing clear instructions and monitoring group activities.
  • Preparation and Setup: Review tour itineraries, arrange materials, and coordinate with the Tour Coordinator for seamless execution.
  • Feedback Collection: Conduct post-tour feedback sessions to enhance tour experiences.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Guiding experience is helpful but not required.
  • Skills: Strong communication, adaptability to outdoor conditions, and physical stamina; proficiency in English (additional languages, especially Greenlandic or Danish, are a plus).

3. Job Title: Transport Driver (Part-Time)
Reports to: Tour Operations Manager

The Transport Driver is responsible for safely operating minibuses and buses for tourists and locals who rent our vehicles. This role requires a friendly demeanor and a commitment to providing excellent customer service while ensuring the safe and timely transportation of passengers. Drivers must be familiar with local routes and be adaptable to varying schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Driving and Safety: Operate minibuses and buses safely and responsibly, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Customer Service: Greet passengers warmly, assist with luggage, and provide information about local attractions as needed.
  • Route Planning: Navigate efficiently to various destinations, ensuring timely arrivals for tours and rentals.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct pre-trip inspections and report any maintenance or repair needs to the Tour Operations Manager.
  • Flexibility: Adjust to changing schedules and demands, particularly during peak tourist seasons.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous driving experience, especially with passenger vehicles, is preferred.
